To the customers of DDK Machine Movers Ltd;

This letter comes to you as part of an on going effort to keep you updated with DDK’s plans moving forward. Our goal is to communicate to you that DDK makes continuous effort (successfully!) to try and be a market leader in our field.

We aim to do this by pricing honestly and fairly, with a staff compliment who show a real understanding and passion for the equipment we move.

With that in mind, our turnover to date stands at £16.5m – something that seems quite incomprehensible to both myself and my Father Joe who founded the company in 2003. I also became a father myself this year, which puts a new perspective on both life, business, and places further emphasis on looking to the future.

With continued investment, self education, and being surrounded by a wonderful team, I can see no reason why going forward we can’t continue to excel.

In 2025:

We added an additional Andover trailer to our fleet – fully kitted out for the transporting of our larger forklift fleet. This tailormade forklift transportation trailer is fully kitted out with a full hydraulic rear ramp, steel plated flooring, a winch system, interior lights, raiseable roof, secure gas container storage, and interior storage space for tackle and slings.

We also added a new 12 ton Rigid box truck, which has been fitted with a 3 ton tail lift. This is perfect for small lathes, milling machines, measuring equipment/Xray equipment and more delicate items. It adds another bow to our string for working in Areas like London for example, where it is often tight but large lifting capacities are required.

It’s a very welcome addition to our fleet and means our old system of using manual ramps which were big and heavy are now only being used on rare occasions.

Our staff compliment grew further with a fantastic employee – Dean, who previously worked for a machine manufacturer installing their machinery. Due to an internal change at that company he found himself looking for other avenues, and we jumped at the opportunity to work with someone who has real experience installing new machinery, and understands the high level of service customers expect when booking with DDK. Dean has fast become a critical addition to our team.

I also welcomed Tom – to cover Natasha on paternity leave originally under role of Accounts assistant, but very quickly became a crucially needed righthand man to myself. Despite being with us less than a year Tom has proven himself as having the required skills to assist in other parts of the business, and has since been promoted to Transport Finance Administrator. Theres a good chance many of you have dealt with him throughout the year already.

I am pleased to announce as per the 2025 annual letter, our trucks are now fully DVS compliant, with the correct cameras fitted throughout for the safe travel, especially in cities.

We have also welcomed back some existing clients from several years ago. It is always a pleasure to deal with returning customers, and a clear indicator our doors are always open for business.

We have also vastly improved our insurance coverage across the board – for both goods in transit, but also the machinery moving aspect – offloading, relocating on ground, and loading are all now comprehensively covered. This is keeping in line with the high level of service that DDK provide, often insuring loads up to £1m during their time spent with us being moved.

Looking forward to 2026:

In terms of compliancy with latest regulations we are above the standard required to get on every site, however I intend on gaining an accreditation for this – FORS. This is an industry recognized accreditation placing you in the top operators in the UK in terms of safety and compliance – something given our track record we should have no problem achieving.

We did not acquire the “cheesewedge” unit we are hunting for in last years letter,  but still looking. Like most of our fleet it’s a reasonably specialist bit of equipment;

If anyone knows of a suitable 45TM rear mount, 8 legger, cheesewedge, SCANIA/VOLVO 450, with draw bar and slideflex curtain, and rear steer let me know!

Also, as always, we’re looking for suitable land and warehousing in the Guildford area to continue building our warehouse operation, which is now in full swing, bonded and making good returns.

It feels internally as we are reaching a very comfortable level of business, with many good quality, and loyal customers using our services regularly, it Is my job to ensure we don’t become complacent in the coming years, and keep pushing forward with the same precision, calculation and persistence that we have done so far.

As always, if you have any requested for quotations, any machine, anywhere in the world (or stored!) Get in touch, and we'll do our best to help.

Danny Russell,

Director
